When you interact with our website (jamomedia.com) or engage our services, Jamo Media acts as the responsible party (also referred to as the "operator") for your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

As a performance marketing agency, we operate campaigns on platforms including Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft (Bing Ads), and LinkedIn. These platforms have their own privacy policies and data practices which are independent of Jamo Media.
When we manage advertising on your behalf, we access your ad account data only with your explicit authorisation and use it solely for the purpose of delivering and reporting on your campaigns.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies independently.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Specifically:
- Enquiry and contact form data is retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission
- Client account and campaign data is retained for the duration of our engagement and for up to 5 years thereafter, in line with standard business record-keeping requirements
- Website analytics data is retained in accordance with the settings of the analytics tools we use (typically 14–26 months)
Once data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
8. Your Rights (POPIA)
Under POPIA, you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:
- Right of access — to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Right to correction — to request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Right to deletion — to request that we delete your information, where we are not legally required to retain it
- Right to object — to object to the processing of your information for direct marketing purposes
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time
